Lyrics And Timings
HMusicCentre has the ability to search the Internet for Track Lyrics. It does this by using Google as a jumping-off-point, it automatically searches Google for the any Lyrics providers and checks to see if any of those are the ones it knows how to handle.
At the moment, HMusicCentre knows how to automatically download Lyrics from six Internet Lyrics providers - Sing365, Lyrics On Demand, Lyrics Directory, AnySong, SeekLyrics and LyricsFreak.
When Lyrics are downloaded to the HMusicCentre Library, they can be viewed by the user when a Track is playing. What differentiates HMusicCentre from most other MP3 players out there is its ability to download Lyrics for Tracks and then to go through an extremely simple one-time teach operation that HMusicCentre will use to highlight the lines that are being sung in that Track the next time it is played.
The Lyrics can be viewed one of three ways - with a background image like is illustrated above, with a semi-transparent background so you can see the Album Covers changing underneath or with a Lyrics line at the top or the bottom of the HMusicCentre screen.

Track Timings are saved to files under HMusicCentre's control - the user has to go through a one-time teaching operation to ensure HMusicCentre knows how to play the Track the next time it is asked to... this teaching operation is as simple as repeatedly pressing a button to mark the beginning of Lyrics lines in time with the music. When the Track ends, the user can press Save and the Timings will be saved to the relevant file. HMusicCentre Timings files look like this:

As you can tell - everything is relatively simple. The approach of HMusicCentre is always to try and not get too complex - it's not a fully-functional MP3 Karaoke program, it works on the premise that line-by-line highlighting of Lyrics is good enough for most people and that also makes it extremely easy to teach and alter Lyrics line Timings.
How do you go about teaching then? I promise you it is simple - when you have Lyrics for a Track, whether they're ones you've downloaded or added yourself, then play the Track and press the "Text" button on the bottom control bar - the Lyrics will be shown. Right-click anywhere on the screen and you will get a Context Menu that looks like this:
